We are still catching up on all the activity that happened post-Art Basel, and the Ricco/Maresca show with Hydeon’s (his first solo gallery exhibition in New York) is at the top of the list of things we hope you can check out. One of the key qualities of the NYC-based, California-based painter is the amount of detail and fantastical universes he creates throughout Adrfit In the Corners of Time. As the 2024 ended and we flipped the calendar to 2025, the idea of escapism has been at the forefront of many of our minds, and Hydeon is really creating a world where fantasy meets reality. What Hydeon has always created is a sense of ambiguity in his works, and perhaps I feel more than ever this is relatable, needed, and absolutely fascinating. —Evan Pricco
