Cafuné, Daisychain, Sama, Lois Levin, Halestorm… – OutLoud! …

Multi-Platinum duo Cafuné – musicians Noah Yoo and Sedona Schat – today announce their new album Bite Reality will arrive on September 12 via SoundOnBite Reality finds Cafuné in a more confrontational state. Lyrics that stare head-on into a world of digital degradation, the duo asks themselves what humanity looks like in an era increasingly defined by AI, algorithms, and artificial intimacy. The album captures Cafuné in a rogue and real state, no longer running from the bite of reality, but biting reality back. Their guitars growl; their vocals snarl; their lyrics teem with brutal honesty, not avoidant analogy.

The band today releases the album’s thematic centerpiece, the single and video “e-Asphyxiation.” The guitar-driven electro-pop ballad confronts the cyberpunk conceit of “high-tech low-life” — the difficult task of remaining human in the dehumanizing world we have built — Stream “e-Asphyxiation.”

Cafuné shares, “Every time you doom-scroll, you’re letting your phone choke you out. Wake up, check the feed, feel bad about yourself – rinse and repeat. Even the ‘good stuff’ on the Internet doesn’t feel fun or sustainable anymore. The world has never seemed more connected and further apart at the same time, stuck in a cycle of ‘e-Asphyxiation.’ Why do I have to prove that I am alive online?”

Daisychain is an American psych rock band based out of Chicago, IL made up of Nickole Regala (bass, vocals), Frankie Sripada (lead guitar) and Sophia Williams (rhythm guitar, vocals). Formed in 2017, the femme-led group quickly rose to the forefront of the Midwest scene by producing an unapologetically new and yet familiar sound to audiences that harken back to Pink Floyd, Patti Smith, PJ Harvey and Alice in Chains.

Making steady moves with her newly found music career, Sama returns with a true claim to fame as she releases new single “EY.” Recently featured as “a firm favorite” by Pete Tong on BBC Radio One, it’s a tune that perfectly captures her organic approach to contemporary dance music, delivering a sound that’s free of genre limits, rooted in a deep understanding of what moves the dance floor. “EY,” underscoring the vibe she’s all about, is out May 30, 2025 via Spinnin’ Deep. Following last year’s debut “Sueños” and early 2025 club hit “Alale,” the former journalist is now ready to share her most acclaimed single to date, “EY.” It’s a record that breathes everything she’s about, from her roots and former lives across the world, to her unbridled love for the club scene, the DJ’s, and the crowd. Setting the mood with some shuffling percussion and sturdy vocal samples, the tune builds further tension with its feverish swooshes and sound effects, before dropping into a radiant groove, shaped by rowdy tech house beats, sweet wobbly bass lines and catchy drum fills. Hypnotizing vocal snippets and pulsating chords take the vibe to further heights, making clear Sama is definitely evolving – and knows how to boost energy on the floor as well as provide a deep twist into her melodic hooks.

rising British soul and jazz singer Lois Levin unveils her new single, ‘Felt’, lifted from her upcoming new EP Motions, out July 4th.

Now with confirmation of her second EP Motions (out July 4th) comes the new single ‘Felt.’ With heartfelt lyricism and a deep, passionate vocal ‘Felt’ aches with a quiet intimate desperation; Lois’ old-school influences mix with new-school flourishes to showcase a fully-formed artist ready for the attention she deserves.

Lois Levin: ‘‘Felt’ is about the ache for real connection-craving to be seen, touched, and understood in a world that often feels emotionally distant. It’s a quiet plea for intimacy wrapped in hesitation, loneliness, and a longing to feel something true.

GRAMMY Award winning hard rock band Halestorm today revealed “Everest,” the title track from their album out August 8 via Atlantic Records.

“Our song ‘Everest’ is the summit of everything we’ve fought for—every scream, every scar, every triumph,” said frontwoman Lzzy Hale. This album is US, louder and bolder, and more brutally honest than ever, standing tall in the face of the storm.”

Halestorm premiered a video for “Everest” today via their YouTube channel.  The intense visual includes a variety of clips of humans on the brink and imminent explosions, both literal and metaphorical. Interspersed with the vignettes is a rage-fueled, passionate performance by the band.

“Everest” follows “Darkness Always Wins,” the album’s first radio single, which just entered the top 20 at Active Rock radio.

Earlier this week, the band kicked off a tour in Europe supporting iconic metal band Iron Maiden.  Following that run, they’ll perform at Black Sabbath’s final show on July 5, and then they’ll travel back to the US to tour with Volbeat.  In September, they’ll kick off the “(n)EVEREST” tour with special guests Lindsey Stirling and Apocalyptica.  All dates are listed below.

TX-based alt-pop singer-songwriter Sophia Warren shares her resilient, raw sophomore EP, Adesso, the second in a series of three EPs, out now via Tigris 33/UMG. Along with the full project, Warren moves through her anxious fog as she attempts to quiet her mind on “Purple” and its matching visualizer, out now.

Cinematic and atmospheric, Adesso, meaning “now” in Italian, is a defiant declaration of independence–meeting Warren where she is today, unbound to anything or anyone. Produced by Chris Coady (Beach House, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Slowdive), each track is its own intimate sonic portrait of Warren’s inner-most struggles, fears and hopes as she sets off on a path towards healing and deeper self-discovery. Looking for peace within this present moment, Warren says the project allows her to finally be herself, not defined by love or loss, sharing, “The EP asks, who am I without them? What do I truly want? These songs are about me peeling back the layers of uncertainty and learning to trust my own voice. It’s scary, it’s raw, but it’s real.” Adesso serves as the second installment in a three part series of EPs that trace Warren’s experiences of growing up.

The steady, rolling groove, “Purple,” also out today, sees Warren confront a bout of anxiety as she learns to live alongside it rather than control it. Warren shares the track is, “the sound of me facing my anxiety, of standing still in the chaos of my own mind and choosing to embrace every part of myself even when it wasn’t easy, even when I wanted to run from it.” Its title comes from the concoction of emotions blended throughout–red being fiery anger and self-destruction, blue being the quiet sadness and weight of the past and purple is where they meet as Warren learns to sit with each without shame.

“I’ve been doing this for over ten years now,” said Walker. “In that time, I’ve seen how much music can mean to people, and how hard it can be to truly connect with the ones who care most. I’ve tried to bridge that gap through shows, social media, releases — but I’ve also learned how easily those moments disappear. Most fans never make it to a show. And even when they do, it’s one night — then it’s over. Online, I share what I can. But too often, that connection gets

filtered — buried by platforms deciding what deserves to be seen, based on what they think will perform. After a decade of creating, connecting, and learning—I wanted to build something different.”

Shunkan, the LA-based rock project of Marina Sakimoto, is sharing her new official music video for “Arm’s Length,” one of the many deeply vulnerable and striking songs off her new album Kamikaze Girl, available everywhere now via Houston’s Rite Field Records. Starring Sakimoto, today’s release captures the intimacy of solitude with surrealistic visuals and powerful riffs.

“’Arm’s Length’ was originally written back in 2020 in the midst of lockdown,” Sakimoto reflects. I think I was in denial about everything going on. My feelings of isolation and introvertedness had been steadily growing for a few years at that point, but against those odds, I still craved intimacy and friendship. I wanted the music video to be a visual representation of when I felt unworthy and alone, even spanning into when I was writing the record. I also love the visual style of Wong Kar-wai, so the video incorporates elements of his films that I particularly love. The video isn’t literal,  I wanted it to feel somewhat dreamlike or surreal.”

the indie alternative artist isitjosh, released his highly anticipated debut album A Collection of Short Stories About the Heart. Along with the news, he released a visualizer for his intimate track “Typical” featuring Kellin Quinn.

Stream the album now and watch the visualizer here.

I wrote ‘typical’ the day after coming out of an overnight hospital stay, and my lyrics reflect that. Things felt hopeless, like a ‘fix’ didn’t exist for someone like me. Kellin’s verse was so crucial: He brought in a hopeful, positive message of self-acceptance through the struggle, and took this story from ‘I’m broken’ to ‘I am ME, and that’s ok’,” shares isitjosh.

To commemorate the album, he will be performing a hometown release show on June 1 in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska at The Waiting Room. If you can’t catch that one, he will be heading to the East Coast to support Lake Drive’s U.S. tour in New Jersey and New York City. On Friday, June 20 he will be visiting The Sanctuary and later that weekend on Sunday, June 22 he will be playing in New York City at the Mercury Lounge. Tickets for all show dates can be purchased now at the LINK HERE.

A Collection of Short Stories About the Heart is about love, heartbreak, and everything in between. It tells the story of two lovers struggling to keep their long-distance relationship alive, facing the reality that some things can’t be undone, and some things can’t be solved with just a phone call.

I didn’t set out to tell a story with this album, I just wrote songs as life happened. I was falling in love, chasing dreams, starting over in a new city. Everything felt exciting and new. When I wrote the first song, I had no idea the next two years would become the hardest, most turbulent times I’ve ever faced. This record truly became what the title says: a collection of short stories straight from my heart, written as they happened. Almost like a journal that I’m finally ready to share,” adds isitjosh.
