The Night It All Began
I still remember the day like it was yesterday. The sun was just starting to set, casting a warm orange glow over the sand. My best friend, Manu, was already setting up the speakers by the bonfire. We were at the old beachside park, the one with the rusty swings and the endless view of the ocean. It was our secret spot, where we’d escape the city for a night of pure freedom.
Manu pulled out the old cassette player and slid in a worn-out tape. I leaned in, the tape hissing to life. The sound of the ocean crashing against the shore filled the air, followed by a soft, smoky melody. I closed my eyes, and the memories came flooding back.
The Sound of Summer
The first notes of “Voodoo on the Beach” began to play, and I felt the weight of the world lifting off my shoulders. The track was a mix of soulful melodies and the raw, unfiltered beats that only Manu could create. The lyrics painted a picture so vivid, I could almost taste the salt in the air and feel the sand between my toes.

The beat dropped, and the bass thumped deep into my chest. The rhythm was hypnotic, pulling me into a trance. I looked around and saw the other kids dancing and laughing, the light of the bonfire reflecting off their faces. They were all a part of this moment, and I was part of them.
A Moment Frozen
The song hit its peak, and the melody swirled around like a voodoo spell, binding us to that moment. The lyrics spoke of love, freedom, and the power of memories. I looked at Manu, and we both knew we were in the middle of something special. The song seemed to be a part of the night, not just music playing in the background.
By the end of the track, the sand was warm and the stars were out. The night had turned cool, and we were sitting there, the memory of the music lingering in the air. Manu hit play again, and we listened as the track repeated, reliving the moment over and over.
The Cost of Not Knowing
I’ve paid the cost of not knowing too long. The price of missing out on these moments, the memories that define us, is too high. Every stream, every listen, buys back a piece of what it cost. I’ve spent years trying to recapture the feeling, but nothing compares to that night at the beach.

The track ends, and the sound of the ocean takes over again. I close my eyes, and I’m there, on the beach, with Manu, under the stars, listening to “Voodoo on the Beach.”
