The night kicked off at 1:00 p.m. with a vibrant Mercado curated by Becky G herself, transforming Market Street into a lively marketplace that celebrated local entrepreneurship and cultural pride. Attendees enjoyed an array of vendors including Fort Unit, Icy Gemz, Michi Chuy, Breathe By Sal, and many more, reflecting Becky’s unwavering commitment to uplifting small businesses and honoring her roots.

Mariana Weber Smith, owner of the Miracle Theatre, expressed pride in hosting the event: “As a Latino-owned, independent theater on Market Street, we’re proud to support artists and cultural events that serve the South LA community. The premiere was graced by a star-studded roster, including Wilmer Valderrama, will.i.am, Chiquis Rivera, Dolores Huerta, and Xochitl Gomez, alongside notable local figures and political leaders such as Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts Jr. and City Council members. The presence of community leaders underscored the event’s focus on celebrating Inglewood’s rich cultural fabric.

Before the screening, Becky G took to the stage, sharing heartfelt words about her roots and the significance of hosting the premiere in her hometown. “It was never a question for me if this premiere would be here,” she said. “My pride for where I come from is as real as it gets. Seeing so many familiar faces—many of whom I used to see when I bought my school uniform next door—was overwhelming in the best way.”
