LA via South Florida myah isn’t just another indie musician — she’s the producing force behind music videos for major artists, like The Marias — “Un Millon”, “All I Really Want Is You”, song of the summer “Mood” by 24k Goldn, Kehlani’s “Little Story”,  Steve Aoki’s Ultimate & “Invitame a Un Cafe”, Tinashe’s “X”, Oliver Tree’s break-up anthem “Cowboys Don’t Cry”, and more. Now, she’s stepping in front of the camera with a voice that’s just as big as the visuals she’s produced, winning a Telly Award in 2025 for her music video, “the lobby”.

Originally from South Florida, myah’s sound is a blend of alternative rock, pop, and pop-punk melodies with midwest emo inspired guitar riffs. Influenced by bands like Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Foxing, and  Modest Mouse, her love for alternative music solidified her decision to make music of a similar caliber, while still incorporating those familiar pop beats. Storytelling is a huge part of her music identity, writing lyrics that tap into her own life experiences with hints of nostalgia. Myah’s songwriting meshes soft pop female familiarity with emo angst and vulnerability.

Lyrically, myah knows the spectrum of feelings well (excitement, wonder, love, loss – to name a few) and isn’t shy about sharing them. She avoids pronouns in her lyrics when she can, so anyone and everyone can be the lead character in her songs. She considers herself a cinematic romantic and stylized her name and all her songs as all lowercase to keep things simple.

Nashville experimental duo Total Wife, the project of Luna Kupper and Ash Richter, are excited to share “make it last” as the latest single from their upcoming record Come Back Downout August 6, 2025 via the tastemaking Philadelphia label Julia’s War Recordings. On “make it last,” layered guitars and simmering vocals bolster the poignant lyrics of longing for the present moment to last into immortality. 

“‘make it last’ started as kind of a horny song,” vocalist and lyricist Ash Richter explains. “I was experimenting with lyric writing that felt a little less serious or sappy, but the more I worked through it, the more it kind of ended up as a love song to the road, or like an ode to time passing veiled by the excitement of living. When overwhelming euphoria removes you from your surroundings and sense of time.”

Rewiring and rewriting the state of NYC rock and roll, The Thing today releases their third album, the fully analog, self-titled The Thing. Released via the band’s own label, Onion Records, the album has gradually been rolled out since March in a series of thematic A/B-sides. What is The Thing? It’s a New York band, sure, but it’s also an ethos. A return to rock and roll’s roots — to garage bands toiling between the family minivans, to groups like The Beatles and their unique alchemy, to tape machines and live band recordings instead of slick studios and myriad songwriters. “We’ve kind of adapted the ethos of: with restriction comes creativity — old becomes new. And throughout every part of the process that remains true,” says guitarist/vocalist Jack Bradley.

Pennsylvania songwriter James Barrett kicks off a bold new chapter with “Fragile Assertion,” his first new song release since 2023. For years, Barrett has been a quiet force in the Scranton alt-rock scene, thanks to his festival Good Things Are Happening (headlined this September by The Menzingers) and hosting weekly open mic gigs. But this new track marks the beginning of something much, much bigger. 

“Fragile Assertion” is the first window into the world James is building on Now That I’ve Seen The Light, his long-awaited new full-length. H.E.L.L.O’ reflects Amelile’s dedication to her craft, a journey she’s been building over the past two years. In a recent interview, she shared, “If you have a dream, you have to work every day for it. This is a lesson that I’ve learned from experience.” That persistence is paying off – her previous singles, including ‘Shots’ and ‘Pak Ti Pak Une’, have collectively racked up over 2.6 million views on YouTube.
