My personalized and detailed unique journey, pivots, and lifelong learning.
I’ve never held down a typical 9-to-5 job, and that’s by design. From day one, my journey has been about thinking outside the box and learning how to pivot. Every success I’ve had, every challenge I’ve faced, has been an education in itself. While many depend on traditional structures, I’ve been serving, building, and learning—applying principles that granted me wings to keep moving forward, no matter what.
A lot of this resilience comes from watching my father. At 17, he lost his leg. But did that stop him? Not even close. Over the course of 70 years, he built a chain of businesses—a liquor store, laundromats, rental properties, and even a hugely successful strip club. He mastered the art of pivoting long before it was a buzzword, and all those lessons have spilled onto my shoulders. It’s a heavy, but empowering load, filled with wisdom from watching him navigate the world with grit and entrepreneurship.
Now, here I am at 59, bringing all those experiences forward into the age of artificial intelligence. I’m embracing the future, not just to survive but to thrive. I’m living the laptop lifestyle and teaching others to do the same—using the principles of self-learning, applied experience, and the relentless determination that my father exemplified.
The beauty is that we don’t need formal education to succeed. 75% of learning happens informally, and I’m living proof of that. Watching, absorbing, experimenting—it’s these real-world lessons that have driven me forward.
How are you thinking outside the box in your own journey? What lessons are shaping your pivot today?
