On Tuesday shortly after 1:00 p.m., patrol officers were dispatched to a shooting in the 4400 block of Southwest Hudson Street.Â
The investigation revealed that two subjects arrived at the home to serve paperwork to a 57-year-old female resident. The resident exited the home and presented a shotgun. One of the subjects, a 40-year-old male, fired his handgun, shooting the woman in the torso. The female succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The two subjects are cooperating with the investigation and all firearms were recovered.
No law enforcement agency was involved in the incident.
No arrests were made, and this continues to be an ongoing investigation.

Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting in West Seattle that left one female deceased.
Shortly after 1:00 pm., 911 Dispatch received reports of a shooting in the 4400 block of Southwest Hudson Street.
Police arrived and found 57-year-old woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso area. Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department arrived. The woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.Â
Homicide Unit detectives are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting. The public is in no immediate danger.Â
