Orlando Bloom “cleaned the whole house” after his wife, Katy Perry , admitted that coming home to a clean house is her “love language,” which she humorously said could lead to her partner getting their “d**k sucked.” The 47-year-old actor joined in on the joke by commenting on Perry’s Instagram post, playfully mentioning his completed chore.

During an interview on “Call Her Daddy,” the 39-year-old singer confessed, “If I come downstairs and the kitchen is clean, and you’ve done all the dishes and closed all the pantry doors, you better be ready to get your d**k sucked.” She continued, “That is my love language! I don’t need a red Ferrari… I can buy a red Ferrari. Just do the fking dishes! | will suck your d**k! It’s that easy!”

The couple, who began dating in 2016, welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove, after an on-and-off relationship over the years. They got engaged in 2019.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Bloom shared, “I think one of the things that I fell in love with Katy for was… she hates when I say this, so I have to word it carefully, but her music was everywhere, right? When I came up, it was just on every radio station, but l wasn’t conscious of it… it wasn’t what I was listening to. But I fell in love with Katheryn, this girl from Santa Barbara.”

He added to the outlet, “I wouldn’t change it for anything, even when sometimes it feels like, ‘How do we do this?’ Because we’ve got these two giant careers and lives, and hers is even, you know… it’s like a universe sometimes. But I think I just keep coming back to her and trying to hold her hand and walk her back to the sandpit and be like… we’re just gonna build a sandcastle.”

Before her relationship with Bloom, the”Roar” singer had been married to Russell Brand and romantically linked with John Mayer. In her “Call Her Daddy” interview, she reflected that she is “no longer attracted to narcissists.”

Service Credit Union Review

[ad_1]

Service Credit Union social image

Service Credit Union is a full-service credit union that primarily serves active military members and their famikies, current and former Department of Defense employees, and those who work for select employer groups.

The credit union offers a full range of banking products, including checking and savings accounts, share certificates, credit cards, loans, mortgages (including VA loans), and more. Our review focuses on Service Credit Union’s personal deposit products as we let you know how they compare to other military financial institutions, like USAA and Navy Federal Credit Union.

  • New Hampshire-based military credit union
  • High APY on first $500 in savings
  • Attractive share certificate yields
  • No-fee checking accounts with early direct deposit

What Is Service Credit Union?

New Hampshire-based Service Credit Union opened its doors in 1957 to serve military members and their families stationed at Pease Air Guard National Base in Portsmouth. It has grown to include over 50 branches in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, North Dakota, and Germany.

What Does It Offer?

Service Credit Union offers a full range of financial products and services for individuals and businesses. For the purpose of this review, we’re focusing primarily on its personal deposit products (checking, savings, share certificates.)

Checking Accounts

Service Credit Union offers an Everyday Checking Account, which has three levels: Basic, Everyday Checking with Direct Deposit, and Direct Deposit+. Through regular activity and by setting up additional services, such as payroll direct deposit, you unlock additional features offered with the latter two tiers. There are no monthly maintenance fees charged on Everyday checking accounts.

The Everyday Checking includes the following features:

  • Rewards on debit card purchases
  • Mobile bill pay and remote check deposit
  • Early direct deposit (get paid up to two days early)
  • Up to 0.75% loan discounts on select loans
  • Up to $30/month in ATM surcharge and foreign transaction fee rebates

You can also open a Dividend Checking Account, which unlocks 0.15% APY in dividends on the entire balance. However, you must maintain a $1,500 minimum daily balance to avoid the $10 monthly fee.

Savings Accounts

Service Credit Union offers several different savings accounts, including its Primary Savings, Youth Accounts, Military Savings Accounts, Holiday Club, Money Market, and Trust accounts.

The Primary Savings Account is mandatory if you want to become a credit union member. It includes a small, $5 minimum deposit, and you will earn 5.00% APY on the first $500 and 0.25% APY on balances over $500. This is a great option for anyone who wants to earn an attractive rate on smaller savings balances.

Credit union members who are currently serving active duty in a combat zone may qualify for a savings rate of 10% APY on balances up to $10,000 in a Deployed Warrior Savings Account. Service Credit Union recommends that you contact them directly to find out if you qualify.

Share Certificates

Share certificates are the credit union version of certificates of deposit (CDs). These are savings accounts that require you to lock-in your funds for a predetermined period in exchange for a guaranteed rate of return. Because of this lock-in period, certificates tend to offer higher returns than most savings accounts, with the same principal guarantee.

Service Credit Union offers share certificates with the following terms and APYs:

*APYs are current as of September 1, 2024 and are subject to change.

Money Market Accounts

If you’re looking for a higher return on your savings, but you don’t want to lock your funds into a share certificate, you might want to consider a Service Credit Union Money Market Account. Money market accounts are similar to savings accounts, but it offers a tiered interest rate. In other words, the more money you deposit, the higher your return. And you don’t need to set up a direct deposit to qualify for the better rates.

Service Credit Union’s Money Market account has the following tiers:

Min. Daily Balance to earn APY

$2,500

This account is really only worthwhile if you have over $2,500, as you won’t earn any interest below that amount and you’ll be subject to a $5 monthly fee. Also, if you know you won’t need to touch your money for at least six months, you’re better off purchasing a 6-month share certificate, which is currently paying a much higher APY of 4.90%.

Are There Any Fees?

Service Credit Union doesn’t charge any monthly maintenance fees on its Everyday Checking and Primary Savings accounts. There are also no monthly fees on share certificates. However, you will pay a $10 monthly fee on the Dividend Checking if you cannot meet the $1,500 minimum daily balance requirement, and $5 per month on a money market account if you fail to maintain $2,500 in the account.

Of course, you will be subject to various fees and other charges on other Service Credit Union accounts, as they also offer credit cards, loans, mortgages, and small business banking products.

How Does Service Credit Union Compare?

When it comes to day-to-day banking products, Service Credit Union is competitive with similar financial institutions. For example, it offers slightly better savings rates than Navy Federal Credit Union, which is the nation’s largest retail credit union. Certificate rates are similar, although Navy Federal is currently offering 5.30% APY on its 12-month Special EasyStart Certificate.

And Service Credit Union’s savings rates are better than another financial institution serving military members, USAA. On most tiered balances, it offers a meagre 0.01% APY, and you need over $500,000 to earn 1.50%. While competitive, its certificate APYs are also a bit lower than Service Credit Union.

How Do I Open An Account?

To open an account with Service Credit Union, you must belong to one of the following groups:

  • Active military member, veteran, or family member
  • Current or former Department of Defense employee or family member.
  • Work for a Select Employer Group (check this list for eligibility)
  • Be a member of the Financial Fitness Association (FFA)
  • Be a member of the American Consumer Council (ACC)

The first account all members must open is a Primary Savings Account. From there, you can open a checking account, share certificate or other account. To begin, select “Get Started” from the Service Credit Union website homepage, then “Open An Account”.

You’ll be required to provide the necessary identification, your Social Security Number, and your account information for the initial deposit. There are four steps in the online application process: Account selection, Personal Information, Agreements, and Funding. Once you’ve successfully completed all four steps, your new account will be ready to go.

Is It Safe And Secure?

Yes, Service Credit Union has been around for many decades and is a well-established and respected financial institution. For its online banking services, including mobile banking, it employs the same levels of security protection that you would expect with any reputable financial institution. Also, Service Credit Union is a member of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), which insures your eligible deposits up to $250,000.

How Do I Contact Service Credit Union?

For assistance with daily banking, you can contact Service Credit Union at the following numbers:

  • (800)-936-7730 (U.S. Nationwide)
  • 00800-4728-2000 (International)

You can also access live chat support through its website or via text at (877)-849-4559. If you live close to a Service Credit Union location (most are located in New Hampshire and Germany), you can visit a branch in person.

Is It Worth It?

If you’re eligible for membership with Service Credit Union and live close to a branch, you may be able to benefit from its free checking account, attractive certificate yields, and various other products and services. Even if you have a small savings balance, you’ll appreciate the 5.00% APY on balances up to $500. However, better CDs and high-yield savings account rates can be found with many online banks, so if you have no particular affinity to Service Credit Union, you’re better off looking elsewhere.

This is the Best Climbing Chalk Bag and Chalk Bucket » Local…

0

[ad_1]

What to Look for in a Climbing Chalk Bag

Chalk Bag Size

Size matters. You want a big enough bag to hold a good amount of chalk (plus some extra space in case you need to chalk up quickly) but not so big that it’s annoying to carry.

  • Small Bags: These lightweight and compact bags are easy to carry on your harness and ideal for sport climbing and indoor climbing, where you don’t need a lot of chalk.
  • Medium Bags: Great for all-around use, including bouldering and longer climbs. They offer a balance between size and capacity, holding enough chalk for extended sessions without being too bulky.
  • Large Bags (Buckets): Best for bouldering and group climbing sessions. Chalk buckets have a large opening and ample space for chalk, brushes, and other small items. You typically keep them on the ground rather than attached to your harness.

Chalk Bags vs Chalk Buckets

Chalk Bags are versatile for multiple climbing styles. They are compact and portable and can be attached to your harness for sport and trad climbing.

Chalk Buckets have a large capacity to hold more chalk, making them ideal for bouldering sessions. They often come with additional pockets and storage for brushes and other small items and have a stable base to stay upright.

We use a chalk bucket at the bouldering gym or the local crag, but when we travel, we carry a chalk bag to pack as light as possible.

Bag Shape

There are a few different shapes common among chalk bags:

Cylindrical Bags: These are the most common shapes for chalk bags. They provide a good balance of accessibility and capacity. The cylindrical shape allows for easy chalking and storage of chalk balls.

Tapered Bags: These bags have a wider top and narrower bottom, which helps keep the bag stable and prevents it from tipping over. They are ideal for climbers who prefer a bag that stays upright.

Chalk Buckets: Usually rectangular or cylindrical, chalk buckets are designed for bouldering. They offer a large opening and stable base, making it easy to dip your hands in and out.

Additional bag Features

These extra features will depend on personal preference and what items you like to keep with your chalk bag.

  • Closure Mechanism: Look for a bag with a secure closure to prevent chalk spills. Common closures include drawstrings, roll-tops, and magnetic closures.
  • Brush Holders: These loops or pockets are essential for carrying brushes to clean holds.
  • Extra Pockets: Some chalk bags come with zippered pockets for small essentials like keys, money, or tape.
  • Adjustable Belt and Straps if you want to wear your chalk bag around your waist.
  • Material and Durability: Choose a bag made from durable, weather-resistant materials.
  • Aesthetics and Personal Style: While functionality is key, the aesthetics can also be important.

Kareem K.W.O.E. Wells: Looking Forward To Meeting You Today!

Kareem K.W.O.E. Wells: A Trailblazer in Empowerment and Entrepreneurship

Kareem K.W.O.E. Wells stands as a shining example of resilience, leadership, and entrepreneurial spirit. Hailing from Chicago, Kareem’s path has been defined by his unwavering commitment to empowering others and overcoming systemic obstacles. His signature philosophy, “Keep Winning on Everything” (K.W.O.E.), embodies the mentality that has fueled his success across multiple fields, from the music industry to community activism.

From an early age, Kareem faced the challenges familiar to many growing up in marginalized communities. However, rather than allowing his environment to limit his potential, he chose to turn those challenges into opportunities for growth and success. His early experiences shaped his vision for not only his own life but also for those he inspires through his work. Kareem has built his brand on the core principles of perseverance and using adversity as a stepping stone to greatness—values that resonate with the individuals and communities he seeks to uplift.

A driving force in the music industry, Kareem has worked alongside major figures, using his platform not only for entertainment but as a means to reach and empower the next generation. His belief in the power of mentorship and community support is evident in his dedication to outreach programs that focus on providing resources and guidance to young entrepreneurs, creatives, and individuals seeking a way out of limiting circumstances.

Kareem’s story is a testament to the idea that success is not just about personal achievements but about creating a lasting impact on the lives of others. Through his K.W.O.E. brand, he teaches that winning is not a singular event but an ongoing process of striving, learning, and giving back. His work is a clear example of how passion, dedication, and an unrelenting drive to uplift those around you can transform not only your life but the lives of many.

At the heart of Kareem’s mission is a deep understanding that success is meant to be shared. His community work and entrepreneurial ventures are aimed at making sure others are equipped with the tools they need to break free from systemic limitations and claim their own success. In a world where the odds are often stacked against people of color, Kareem’s story is one of hope, perseverance, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. His legacy is not just in his personal achievements but in the many lives he has touched and transformed through his work and dedication to uplifting others. Kareem K.W.O.E. Wells is more than a name; he is a movement, a living testament to what can be accomplished when you refuse to give up on yourself or your community.

I AM NOT OKAY

This is my cry for help, my scream to the Universe, because times are hard…

…But, that will not stop my progress. Dad lost his leg at age 17 but went on to live the lives of 1000 men, got a false leg, built a chain of businesses, even while others who took similr hits gave up. He never gave up, and I will not either.

Sometimes, the weight of our accomplishments doesn’t heal the weight we carry inside. Success doesn’t always equate to peace, and sometimes the journey leaves scars. But if being ‘crazy’ means pushing boundaries like the greats before me, then maybe I’m exactly where I need to be. I’m not okay, but I’m still here, still moving, still creating. #ImNotOkay #RelentlessJourney #PushingBoundaries

Unlocking Revenue Streams to Pay Debts on Time: A Strategic Approach

NO EXCUSES!

In today’s challenging financial landscape, businesses and individuals alike often face the pressing reality of paying off debts while lacking immediate financial resources. It may feel like a paradox—”you need money to make money”—but with creativity, resourcefulness, and resilience, there are actionable ways to unlock new revenue streams without upfront capital. The key lies in identifying “low-hanging fruit,” leveraging your time wisely, and drawing upon the strength of your current networks. Here’s a strategic approach to finding those revenue streams, paying off debt, and maintaining momentum toward long-term financial freedom.

1. Leverage Your Current Network: Unlock Opportunities with Existing Clients and Friends

Your strongest assets may already be within arm’s reach. Clients, friends, and your extended network often possess untapped potential. Have you considered approaching your most loyal customers or colleagues for referrals? Word of mouth remains one of the most powerful marketing tools, and satisfied customers can become your best advocates. Offering a referral program or additional incentives can turn passive connections into active revenue-generators.

Moreover, think about what additional services or products you could offer to your existing clients. These people already trust you, so cross-selling or upselling might be a natural extension of your current relationship. Whether it’s offering new packages, consulting services, or short-term projects, tapping into this “low-hanging fruit” can quickly unlock cash flow.

2. Maximize Your Time: Prioritize High-Impact, Low-Investment Efforts

We often underestimate the power of time as a resource. One of Tony Robbins’ greatest lessons is to focus on high-leverage activities that bring the most value with minimal investment. Assess your daily routines and tasks—what activities can be re-prioritized or eliminated? Consider allocating your time towards revenue-generating activities, even if they don’t require upfront capital. For example, creating digital products such as e-books, guides, or courses can be a great way to generate passive income over time. You can develop these using existing knowledge, tools, or platforms without needing heavy investment.

Furthermore, improving efficiency in your current workflow can boost revenue. You can streamline operations by adopting automation tools or outsourcing low-level tasks, which frees up your time for strategic, revenue-generating activities.

3. Tap into Resourcefulness: Use What You Have

As Tony Robbins famously teaches, it’s not about having resources, it’s about being resourceful. Many of the tools, assets, and contacts you need to create new revenue streams are likely already at your disposal—you just need to use them effectively. Do you have underutilized skills that can be turned into consulting services? Do you possess knowledge that could benefit others? Could you teach others through webinars or workshops? These opportunities require minimal financial outlay but can generate immediate returns.

Another form of resourcefulness lies in negotiation. Negotiate extended payment terms with vendors, rent, or service providers to ease the financial burden. This allows you to allocate available funds more efficiently while avoiding late payments and interest penalties.

4. Develop Low-Cost, High-Impact Solutions

While it’s true that many traditional businesses require significant capital investment, there are ways to generate revenue with little or no upfront costs. Digital platforms allow individuals and businesses to reach a global audience with minimal overhead. Whether through freelance work, offering online courses, or utilizing content platforms like YouTube or Substack, you can generate income streams using skills you already possess. This is particularly relevant if you have expertise in coaching, writing, or consulting. Platforms such as Fiverr, Upwork, or Freelancer make it easy to monetize these skills without needing any financial outlay.

Additionally, consider partnership opportunities. Many businesses are open to profit-sharing agreements or commission-based partnerships, meaning you can tap into new revenue streams by aligning with complementary businesses or services, all without significant financial input.

5. Maintain Momentum and Keep the Big Picture in Sight

Paying off debt and creating new revenue streams requires persistence and commitment. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, especially when success doesn’t come overnight. The key is maintaining forward momentum, even if the progress seems slow. Tony Robbins emphasizes that progress equals happiness—if you see even incremental success, it fuels further motivation. Stay focused on your long-term financial goals and celebrate small wins along the way.

It’s crucial not to let setbacks diminish your drive. Every business or individual encounters roadblocks, but the key is to see these challenges as temporary. Maintain your resilience, knowing that with consistent effort, your revenue streams will grow, and you will conquer your financial challenges. You will win by staying committed, resourceful, and adaptive to changing circumstances.

6. Stay Positive and Resilient

In the pursuit of debt repayment, mental resilience is just as important as financial strategy. As Robbins teaches, it’s about trading expectations for appreciation—recognizing the opportunities around you and focusing on the possibilities rather than the obstacles. The journey may not be easy, but keeping a growth mindset will help you stay resourceful and energized as you push forward.

In summary, finding revenue streams to pay off debts is about being strategic, using time wisely, and leveraging your existing resources. It doesn’t always require financial capital to make money, but it does require creativity, effort, and persistence. By unlocking the potential of your current network, utilizing your skills, and maintaining your drive, you can generate revenue, pay off debts on time, and set yourself up for long-term success.

Rich Homie Quan, Atlanta Rap Visionary, Passes Away at 34: A Reflection on the Losses Within Our Artistic Community

As an Atlanta-based artist and writer, it’s impossible not to feel the weight of yet another profound loss with the passing of Rich Homie Quan. At just 34, his voice, energy, and contributions to the Atlanta music scene have left an undeniable mark. But as an artist who also calls this city home, I can’t help but recognize the tragic pattern we see too often—creators like us, dying younger than expected.

Quan’s story is one that many of us in Atlanta’s creative circles can relate to. He came from the struggle, turned to his art, and made a name for himself. Whether it was his early breakout with “Type of Way” or his collaborative efforts with the likes of Young Thug and Rich Gang, he epitomized what it means to hustle, rise, and leave a lasting legacy in the city we love.

Like so many other Atlanta artists, Rich Homie Quan was more than just a name. He was a beacon of our city’s relentless spirit, which demands that we push through adversity and find success in our own ways. But it’s also this same pressure, the constant grind, that seems to take us too soon.

Artists and creators in Atlanta, myself included, are often fighting battles beyond the stage or the page. From the grind to get our voices heard to the challenges of sustaining our livelihoods in an ever-evolving industry, the toll it takes is real. And with each loss, it’s a painful reminder that our community must value and care for the artists who shape it.

Rich Homie Quan’s death is a devastating loss, but his life and work will continue to inspire the next generation of artists here in Atlanta and beyond. Let’s honor his memory by recognizing the importance of supporting one another—emotionally, mentally, and physically—because our art is only as strong as the people who create it.

“Good Mourning” by Photographer Nick Bannehr

[ad_1]

Photographer Nick Bannehr is releasing a limited edition handmade photo book, “Good Mourning” as part of a one-night exhibit at the Photobook Cafe in London on September 5th (5-9:30pm). In the work, Bannehr delves into the complex layers of London’s landscape in the days between the death of Queen Elizabeth II and her burial. The book examines the spirit of a city and its people, offering a powerful visual narrative as he weaves through crowds en masse, to capture the raw and candid spectrum of the people during the lying-in-state frenzy that enveloped Westminster.

Australian-born Bannehr’s fresh perspective brings a unique and removed view of the city’s display. “When I took my camera to the streets of London, I was curious about the ‘moment’ like everyone else—the death of a monarch. I expected to find raw grief and sadness, but what I actually encountered was something different—a strange, performative atmosphere, almost as if people were fulfilling an obligation. It was a scene bound by tradition, a kind of archaic practice playing out in modern Britain. The contrast was striking, and it made me question how deeply these rituals are woven into the fabric of the national identity.”

“Good Mourning” is now available in extremely limited supply, through Nick Bannehr’s website.
